I have a 2000 SRX that I want to put a viper rear suspension in. Is it olt and go? I know if I put Viper front schocks on it I will need brackets. Is there anything needed for the rear?

Thanks

For the rear of my 02 srx, I purchased the Maxximum Transfer rods for the Viper which mount in the rear set of holes on the rails . This set-up has worked well for me and after installation, the track sat quite level to the ground which is good for handling. Bruce from Pioneer also recommended this approach.

Ive pulled up the limiter straps with abotu 1.5" of thread showing and it corners pretty flat now but not as flat as I would like so will pull them up another .25".

i put vipers in my 2000 srx this year. i had to make a 10mm extension for my transfer rod. (5/8 dia rod cut off 10mm, then drilled for bolt clearance)

this set my gaps even with some home made nylon shims. i have 10mm gaps

i then flipped the front brackets over and kept the srx front shocks. this equalized the ski pressure for the higher ride height. i had to grind some flange area off the bulkhead and also the brackets so the shocks will clear and use some washers to get the brackets tol sit flush mounted upside down....

i set the fra? to the stiffest setting (farthest away from pivot)
took it out and thought... what have i done to this thing. every turn, fast or slow, it tipped like a rev
so we tipped in on it's side and moved the fra to the softest setting (closest to pivot) it now corners on rails and rides great !!!!

only time consuming thing was grinding little bits at a time on the brackets.
but did it in one night. definitely worth the $100 i got the shocks for !!!!!!!!
hope this helps
