What kind of speed have you guys seen on these, or is anyone still riding them? I love mine but seems a bit short on the topend.

I have two of them and they both do about 105 on the speedo - probably around 100 actual

Had 96 VMax 600 XT. Ran an indicated 105 on the speedo.
96xt, 100(speedo) even, on bare ice. Took a while.

my buddy had his up to 115 on speedo when he first got it, but there may have been some slight track spin to factor into that as well, because he didn't have studs and it was a real icy snow, very hard pack

My buddy had one sort of tricked out, no stock SRX could touch him (when it ran right....burned it down two times), GYT twin pipes, 196 picks Artic Cat secondary and a lot of other stuff, he got tired of working on it every day to get it to run right.

yea those things aren't too reliable when they are putting out a lot of ponies. Just not overbuilt or designed for a lot of mods

I had 87 on my gps from our early february trip. I've had the speedo over 105 before but didn't have the gps then. I was w.o.t. but I was running out of room. It might top out around 95 or so. I'm not picked but I am piped but the conditions weren't real great for power, about 32*.

it still amazes me how much these speedos are off by, it kinda sucks. You know they could make an accurate one

I had mine say 110 on my speedo on my 94 and 105 on my 96. I think the spedo inacruacy is just due to the track spinning, no traction ya know?

no even if you are hooked up they read high by a fairly large percentage. Get a GPS or a radar gun and see for yourself.

Think about it guys - Speedo is directly hooked up to the track. It is reading track speed, not vehicle speed. Even cars are off a little bit when tires are changed or worn. Need a GPS to better gage but radar is the most accurate and still has it's issues, just ask the cops.
