I was wondering if a primary clutch from off a 1995 Yamaha V-Max 600 would work on the late model sleds like the SXR, SRX, Viper, etc with the understanding that the weights, spring and maybe the rollers would need to be changed. I looked them both up on Ronnie’s parts breakdown and they look the same, but I have no way to cross reference.
Thanks,
Please help,
Jeff

The clutch will physically fit all tho all the internals like springs, weights & rollers will be different. The newer style primary clutches however won,t fit in the pre 97 sleds with out machining the back of the fixed shive.

So what you are saying is that it will work?, The main/major parts of the clutch like the sheeves are the same and have not realy changed?
