On my 02 Viper with stock gearing and pipes

When i took off my 1" track and put on i 136" Ripsaw i took out my drive axle and got a guy to true up the drivers on a lathe. He said it was out a bit but i think he took too much off i can seem to pull and top speed and more. I would say he took off at least 1/8" to 3/16" the radius of the driver.

How much would this affect the gear ratio. I was thinking about going from 22/38 to 23/38

top speed

you may have lost a little speed from the drivers, but u lost most of thespeed because your turning a taller lug track. the bigger the lug the more speed you lose.

i agree i lost speed by putting on the 1 1/4, but i having a hell of a time pulling over 100 mph on the dream meter with the ripsaw. But when i had the 9830 camo i could always see 120-130 on the gauge.

I'm running heavy hitters and they pull up too about 80 hard and them seem to go flat on the big end.

I dont think your problem is in the drivers. I have turned several sets of them and some times take off alot to get them true. Never noticed any loss in speed. I would keep looking for a problem, start by checking your power valves, or maybe even a worn out belt or dirty clutches. ===SRXSRULE===
