has anyone out there ever used a belt deflection adjuster on there sleds from mountain performance,i was thinking of buying one for my 02 viper.if so how good are they, any problems with install etc.can i get a little feedback. :rocks: ;):D ;)! :WayCool:

If you mean the "belt external adjuster" then, yes I have tried it. It took quite a bit of research to find a 9/32 allen wrench in norway but when I did, the thing was like a dream. Adjustments took like 20 seconds.. loosen the little screw.. turn the adjuster.. then tighten the screw.. test. repeat. Its like 100 times faster than stock to do adjustments. The only thing that I didnt like with this thing was that it added some weight to the secondary. Well worth IMO

Use Max Perf. version and it works very well, same as above. It does make the secondary stationary, does not float, so you have to keep your clutch offset in spec.

Maxx Perf and Mtn Perf adjusters are the same. They work well, but I have found with roller secondarys to add blue locktite to the bolt so that the adjuster won't loosen the bolt.

Grape is correct, the bolt tends to loosen up even with stock secondary clutching as well as with a roller. Check it regularly and or use the loctite. They work real well and are simple to adjust and keep your belt high in the secondary all the time. Just make sure you have your engine aligned properly as the secondary will no longer move side to side. It is also a good idea to install a engine torque limiter if your sled doesn't already have one. Just my two cents worth. TJE
