I had a pretty decent and relaxing weekend, only did about 160 miles, but I wasnt trying to push it at all. went to pittsburg NH, have a house up there (hence, no need to push, all the time in the world  ) did up the ski shim thing on the viper and I must say... IF YOU ARE RUNNING STOCK YAMAHA SKIS WITHOUT THIS MOD DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made FAR more of a difference than I was expecting. it was awesome, handles sweet(er) and doesnt dart for me at all :) I am now going to do it for the other 3 sleds in the garage, that good! also decided to give the wife-to-be's '00 sxr 600 a fresh coat of paint on the pipe. had silver around so I figured what the hell. can always repaint is what I figured. let me know what you think. hope to get better pics next weekend or later this week. so we were able to feed some canadian jays out of our hand at the east inlet, saw some deer behind spruce cone cabins, and on a small connecting trail from the house to magalloway road we sawa fox and a partridge. all in all a nice weekend. going for high miles next weekend though :) enough of my ramblings, tell me what you think of the pics. later guys :rocks:

o, and has anyone else been up there riding and see the dude on the mtn viper with the winch mounted on the front? dying to get a pic, but never get to :( thing looks bad @$$!!!! and that pic above is of a flying cat... about a 70 or so panther ;) near grand view snack shack

Paint looks good. Is it high temp paint? That Sxr looks a lot cleaner then my wife's..LOL It's kinda a side-liner now that the Vector is in the garage. But what a great sled...my wife put almost 6k MILES on it since it was new and not a single occurance, other then basic maintenance.

thanks for the comments, and that one does have a bit over 6k miles :) and I agree, never had a problem. had the shocks redone for her weight, she LOVES that sled. only flaw is the crummy headlight, but I just put in one of those brite-lights headlights, much better, but still nothing like the dual bulb sleds. didnt paint the y pipe because I didnt want to take it off. hit it with the flat black, because if I got any overspray (didnt seem to) it wouldnt stick out like the silver would. and yes, high temp. dupli color ceramic high temp. stuff is amazing, looks professional without even knowing what you are doing lol

thought I got it at wall-mart, but not positive... has aGREAT nozzle on it and really coats well without having any runs or anything. makes me want to paint more things lol

you can get it at auto zone or murrys, in all different colors. heres a pic of mine in blue before i ceramic coated them..

stuff is great isnt it?? how well did yours hold up in the long run? how many miles you get on it and what did it end up looking like? figure it is easy enough to repaint that I didnt care too much, but just curious :) thanks!

that is some real good looking paint boys, now hopefully it holds up to the heat. Every pipe i ever painted the color started to turn funny up near the Y pipe from all the heat.

it did ok farther down the pipe, but closer to the motor it got discolored and was flaking off..after a little while the whole thing started to discolor. it was well worth the $225 to have the pipes coated.

Great pics, 03viperguy. It looks like you have the exact same helmet I do (SnoForce SRX)!
Hebi

yup! it NEVER fogs up and I dont have a heated visor. besides, it was cheap compared to about all other helmets around. my second sno-force, they are great. just wish it matched my suit better lol. got the leathers this year, helmet last year :)

i loved the ceramic coating on my simons triples, it looks great and it seems to make them hold their heat better
