I have never opened up my power valves for cleaning. I had the dealer do it for me. However, they screwed up my sled and I don't want to take it back. I am pretty handy with a wrench but before I open them up, is there something I need to watch for? or they pretty fail safe?

It isn't hard. You can do it yourself. Do a "powervalve" search and you'll find a lot of great info. Also check the " technical pages".

Its easy (on stock exhaust), do it now, if you don't the cables pull out of the valve and you could be looking at $300 for cables and powervalves.

yea just pay attention to what you are doing, do a search to find the procedure (it has been written out countless times), and head out to the garage. Not too hard to do at all, just take your time.
