Injection oil in the antifreeze

I bought a 2001 SX700R, a month ago. Took it up and rode a couple hundred miles to test it out before our annual 800 mile trip across the UP. All seemd OK. Went on the 800 mile trip last week Tuesday through Saturday. I noticed after a couple days riding that I was getting antifreeze on my right leg. When I investigated it was coming out the over flow but when I felt it it felt very oily. When looking inside the overflow tank you can see that someone had filled it with injection oil.

I am thinking it is already through the cooling system, what should I use to flush the system, and what other damage could this do to the sled?

It never indicated that it was overheating during the trip and ran very well the whole time, it was also below 20 degrees the whole trip.

I would drain the system as best as you can and fill it back up with water then let that circulate then drain it again. Refill and should be fine. A little oil is not going to hurt anything.

LOL, it is funny, and I can't complain the sled has been great and you never know what you will get when you buy used. Its just the pain in the a&& to drain and flush the cooling system.

Thanks for the help, I didn't think it was to big a deal.

its probably just got some injection oil mixed in with it for some reason (mistake), or maybe the antifreeze is just that old and cruddy and dirty. Either way, drain it, flush it, and get some new stuff in there.
