ok, I have another friend who just bought an srx in which the motor had been blown and fixed by the previous owner. Two of the cylinders are shiny like the clutch guard, well not as shiny but close. and one of them looks like it does from the factory, with that rought texture on the outside, while the other two are smooth. He never asked the previous owner if he had the sled ported or anything. Why would two be shiny? i think they were coated. Do you think that when the motor was blown the owner rechromed/nicasiled two of the cylinders that werent really damaged and just had a new cylinder put in for the one that what damaged bad. Another theory I have is that the previous owner had all the cylinders ported, then blew one and just replaced it with a stock one, but does this explain the shininess of the other two. let me know what u guys think.
