What is the chance this is real? I'm a flat lander so maybe this is common in the mountains.

yes they have had a lot of problems with ring flaking, but this year they have a new chrome nitrate ring that is supposed to eliminate the issue.

I was more interested in the helicopter lifting it out of the mountains. That's got to be pricey.. Or is a photo shop job?

Lift home
He said in one of the following posts it was $675 Cdn. Yup, a pricey ride home, betcha that was a cool ride home though.

heli rides out are common place. normally cost 300-500 US. Sometimes you break them in a place where there is no way your going to tow it out. We have used FOUR!! sleds(at once) tied to one sled (and the tow sled had no-one riding it) just to try and get a sled up a climb. Ride the mountains very long and you will see alot of stuff you wouldnt believe! ===SRXSRULE===

I see this a few times a season. Cool to see but not what you want to have happen. In the Whistler area it costs you between 250 and 600 Cdn depending on who you are and who you know...
