ok i am ready to bite the bullet and put on vmj 500 setup. only thing is i would rather use a advantage helix over a dalton (shipping is murder from the states).

what i wanna know is what is the equivilent in advantage to a dalton 47/41 helix?

i wanna come close so if i make my mind up i can put roller in there at same time. and should i change out the rollers for the 8ab he uses or try my stock ones 1st? the sled is stock 2001 sxr 500

thanks maim

I won't guess, because I am not positive and I am sure that Turk knows.

However you can just give Rick at AdvantEdge a call, and he will tell you. He is very helpful.

Dalton is in Canada but they do not sell direct anymore. They have a list of dealers in their web site where to purchase from. There are some in Canada. The helix is about 149.00 canadian.

Get a 43/33....it is close but will probably be more aggressive.

why does he cut his helixes so much different? Seems to confuse a lot of people

thanks turk. you are the clutching god.

im the one who rides the sled so more agressive is ok cause i know i have the track to hookit up.

best helix I tested with the stock weights is a 46-42 48-40 was just a little lazy on backshift off a corner. I run 8EK weights in mine, in a back to back test my clutch set-up was .8 quicker at 660 and 7mph faster at top end. I have an ER kit in the secondary which the little motor really needs for rpms right now off a corner.
