guys, do you know the correct torque setting for 99' srx 600 heads?? I'm clueless once again..lol.. I just dont want to hand tighting them.

ya, you use a 3/4" drive breaker bar with a 3ft piece of pipe on it and pull as hard as you can.....lol !! just kidding
specs: 9.4ft lbs first, then final torq. is 20ft lbs.

Can you say heli-coil ?
I have a few tractors that I work on, and some of them bolts are torqued to well over 100 ft. lbs. Sometimes I don't make the transition to sleds very well if I go directly from one to the other and I pre-tighten beyond spec before I get the torque wrench out. That really sucks, as you know you have likely stressed the threads. I usually catch myself right away, and haven't broken a bolt off yet, but I have come close. Gotta get the brain in gear before you start wrenching on the sleds.

Ive stripped a few threads in my days
I have a nice little kit of heli-coils in my toolbox, for those days when you eat a few extra bites of cheerio's in the morning....lol, I know what ya mean Ding.

yea the 3 ft pipe is for the initial torque, then back it off and go to 20 ft lbs lol
