Hey guys,
Does anyone else have a 600 V-max twin? My dad has one, and it is very nice. I however, drive a 1978 Yamaha Exciter 440, and want to upgrade to a faster, more comfortable sled. The V-max is very comfortable, but seems to have some serious traction and handling problems...It never hooks up good on the trail, and sinks down in the powder. I want a fun, fast ride, and wanted to turn this V-max XTC into my sled. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice track to help it perform better, or possibly any ideas on a better Yamaha I could invest in? Thanks...

Put an 1.25x 121 track on it, Some plastic skis, gear down, thin the head gasket. That will change the sled considerably.

check the primary clutch for loose rollers. I'm replacing mine at 3500 miles. I'm told the 600 twins are a little hard on clutches when compared to smaller twins or bigger tripples.
