Can anyone tell me how many grease points are on this skid, also is there needle bearings in both ends of the shock, in the photo it looks like plastic bushings, and while i am on the topic of bushings did yamaha put better bushings in there skids. in the past the bushing went to hell after a season.JMO,every moving part of a skid should have a grease point to drive out the water and keep the union well lubed.and all shock mounts should have a bearing, this will give the skid a smoother ride.on my sx the center shock has a bearing on the bottom, but not on the top this doesnt make sense to me...
thanks

I understand the 06 ra has added grease fittings. Many mfgs do not have fittings, and I simply add them. Also, each time I remove a skid for shock rebuild etc. I grease all the parts by hand.

I have never had problems with bushings in my sleds. just changing wheels every so often. have 4500 miles on my 03 viper and all is still the same, changed hyfax once, everything else is as new and real tight which bushings are usually suspect?

I grease it after about every ride using the grease points. have the ability to bring it into a heated area to thaw the night and grease the next morning. always been perfect
