did a little side by side comparing. the nytro and the vector and the 5 major things that i see that are different.
1. the handle bars
2.rider position
3.seat
4.gearing and clutching
5.front shocks
unless i am missing something, the nytro is a modified vector(please enlighten me)
so whats to say you couldnt take a vector and throw the nytro seat on,change the gearing and clutching, bar riser, fox floats and other then the rider forward, pretty much have a nytro.
note:i havent seen thease sleds in person, but will on the 23rd.......

It doesnt have rider forward - I am not sure why.
so then it is a vector in disguise.

I think the tank cover is different too...but unless you already had a vector I would think this would be a more expensive route (maybe)..Why did people buy 05 RX's..it was just a skid change and a few lightweight parts .
take a look at the vector and the nytro profile pics side by side,it just looks like the seat is up farther on the tank cover is all.

the seat isn't the only thing that makes up the rider forward position. The handlebars and console are all moved forward.

They're not moved on the Nytro..only on the Apex chassis.
a vector with ape hangers
Yes - The steering column location has not changed, but does have a riser block. As I said before... I am "surprised"REDMATER said:a vector with ape hangers
I have found for whatever reason the Yamha resale value has really dropped. ( 4 stroke)That said I bet you could find last years 4 stroke pretty cheap - do a few of the mods(not all) and at least see if that is a machine you would like, and someone else would have taken the big hit.

yeah, i was thinking the same about the nytro, its just a glorified vector. higher seat and higher handlebars. don't see why they changed the name, wouldn't vector sport work or something, vector s perhaps

Well..the name needed changing..the sled is aimed at a new audience. The "Vector" isn't as attractive to the would-be ditch banger as a "Nytro" (with flaming skulls!!). Either way..what difference does it make? Gives guys that bought a Vector something to model after.

hey, maybe big blue will offer a kit to upgrade existing vectors? new tank cover, seat, riser, clutch kit???
i doubt it, but anyone that owns a 05 could make an 06 for less than selling and buying....
