To put a 1.25" track on a SRX, do you have to remove the tunnel protectors? (the camoplast track has the tall lugs over top of the track clip/slider area). Thanks!
Yes, It will hit the protectors...you can notch the track ....

If everyone is just going to take off the protectors, why are they there?
Aren't the longer paddles on the Camoplast going to smack the tunnel now?

I ran the stock track w/216 1.175" picks for 7,400 miles, many times over 100mph, and there are no nicks from studs in my tunnel, and the tunnel protector had about 1/16 of an inch deep worn off the very back inch and absolutely no tunnel protector wear at all anywhere else! Going that fast with that much weight in picks flying around in there, should have worn along the protector somwhere in the middle, but didn't. I feel safe in putting a 1/4" taller lug w/no extra weight from picks. The wear on the back of the tunnel protectors probably came from one particular incident that sticks out in my mind. Don't get me wrong, if I didn't have a tall lug right above the track clip area, I'd leave the protectors in, but w/no studs I'm not concerned.
