02 Viper stator? *UPDATE*
My dealer replaced my stator two weeks ago. Now I was riding this weekend and I rode about 700 miles. As I was coming in for the weekend I shut off my sled to help get my girlfriend unstuck. When I went to start the sled back up the head lights flashed the display flickered and never came on. When I would touch the throttle the sled would not move it would just bog. I shut the sled off and tried to start it again. It would not start at all, I could pull the cord fine, but it was not even sputtering..... Does this sound like there is a problem with the stator again? I am going to take it to the dealer but it will be a little bit before I can so I would just like to know what you guys think. Thanks.

DO your head lights bright like normal or were they very dim? I had a similar problem with my 02 viper they gauge wouldn't work the head lights were really dim and the sled would just bog when i hit the throttle. MY problem ended up being a short in the trial light. Try unpluging your seat wireing and seeing if it fix it. IF that doesnt work unplug the 2 relays above your CDI box, if your sled revs up after this that means theres a short somewhere but rember with the relays out nothing electrical will work.

The headlights don't do anything anymore because I can't even get it running or even close to running. So there is no display and no headlights. Do you think I should still try disconnecting the wires and see what happens?
If the sled wont even start or idle it might be the stator mine would idle fine but nothing worked and it wouldnt rev up.

it could be the stator or the CDI

Well then my question is this, is there any way to get her started so I can drive her to the dealer this weekend since I will not have a truck?

Spoke with the dealer today and it was the stator. They are not sure yet as to why it happened again. They are going to replace it and run some tests. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it happened shortly after a new one was installed?

something grounding somewhere (like in the ignition) and creating way too much draw? That's the only thing i could think of.
