There is a carb rack from a Vmax4 for sale on Ebay that is over bored to 35.5 I believe. What advantages does this offer? If it increases performance how much would it increase it? Would it decrease the gas mileage? Would it be safe to use on a lightly modified engine (quad piped and clutched)? Here is the link to the carb rack on ebay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42608&item=4533449076&rd=1

Anything you could tell me would be appreciated. Thanks.

they allow more air/fuel flow on the top end, which can create more horsepower if you need to be flowing that much. It will obviously have a greater effect on a more heavily modified engine compared to lightly modded one, because the requirements for air and fuel will be higher. The gains on top end will vary greatly depending on what is done to the engine. Gas mileage will almost certainly go down, and bottom end usually becomes more sluggish because the bigger carbs dont atomize (in reality its VAPORization, not ATOMization, but that is the term) the fuel as well, because of lower venturi velocities at lower rpms (same airflow, but bigger diameter to pass through)
