On the fence about adding triple pipe's?

Don't be! We just came back from Canada and this Viper plays my favorite song every time I fire it. The Aaen's are my pipe of choice. I can hold this thing pinned for ever, and not so much as a hickup. You guys that are running these know what I mean. This is a great flat fast trail sled. This sled is amazing with some traction and a good setup. Off the line and on top. The speedo runs in high 120's. The dremo is off but even taking 10 or so off, those are still big numbers for an underdog. I ran to f7's that were not happy with the results. I must have burned a half tank of gas because they thought it was a mistake they were getting beat, no to mention pretty good. Run after run the same thing, old blue in the front. :rockon:
 

The specs are 2 147.5's and a 150. Carb vents unplugged and it runs a little rich. We also went one up on the pilot jets. She likes it.

did you do any head mods or remove layers?what clutch set up.vents disconnected why?
 
I have added a gasket that comes with the kit to keep it cooler. They sent me a 2 spring kit and it works well. I have run a few vipers with tripples with some different clutch setups and this setup seems to be better for drag racing. Vents disconnected because I guess they feel that plugged in you run a chance of leaning out the motor on a long top end run. I ran a Viper in 2002 with the cpr pipes vents plugged in and had no problems. This one runs stronger. I have done a few other things to her for piece of mind.
 
Day in & day out the stock 8EK weights work much better than they should from what people have said, Olav told me three years ago that I could find a trick setup to be quick on the piped Vipers but the trick setups would not have the concistancy that he found with the 8EK's for day in & day out performance. I was looking in Max performance & they want $48.00 ea for the 8EK weights, Thats almost twice as much as any other OE weight they sell. Good for you Natester! The guys on the F-7's get real pissy dont they! lmao. Bushman
 
If anyone wants good 8EK weights contact me. I have about 10 sets that have very little or no use that I'll resell at 1/2 the cost of new.
 
I love to hear the cats getting abused. Yeh, it's very funny how pissed they get...LMAO. I haven't raced one yet, but I've seen them get beat by vipers. The onslaught of excuses that follows afterwards is where the real entertainment comes in. Too funny. Good job man, You got me 2nd guessing my set up, I think my jetting is way different..I run the Benders though. Well it's good for now, I'll have to wrench on it this summer, there's a bunch of other stuff I gotta do anyway.
 
This weekend we are going to do some more drag racing in the area. I have a few guys gunning for me, so hopefully the little 700 will make some more people unhappy. I just find it so funny how blistering fast this thing is. I laugh every time I pinch the thing across the pond or field. Spiderviper I get about 10mpg at best. Its a gas hog, but if I was looking for gas mileage I would run a chevrolet aveo thre the trails lol.
 
MUFDVR, That seems to be what i am hearing for all of the pipes so if i want the milage i will have to go with out the pipes but i want the horse so i will probably do it. Thanks for the info MUFDVR. :yam:
