Thats exactly what happens bornwithblueblood!!! If your not a person who can discipline themselves to be last EVERYTIME you start it back up and take off , or flip up your hood everytime you stop, your gonna spend more money on repairs then youll ever save on gas!!!
I dont understand why you need one on a srx or stock piped viper they get get 14-15mpg if you have the right jetting and correct clutching.
If people would spend more time making the clutch's work correctly and efficently, they would yield better gas mpg, gas mpg and clutching go hand in hand.
I fix 3-4 sleds every year from tempa blow's ruining them, I think they are a great product for a old lady who just putt putts around on a bone stock 2 up sled and never hammers it down.
One last thing, when they damage a engine, its NOT always all at once, they do it over time .Now some I have seen few go squeeek all at once, but some have the exh port bridge melted off the pistons and little divets melted under where the spark plug would be in the pistons and after a few times they go squeeek , and coast to a stop............buyer beware is all I can say!

Sorry to hear about the bad experiences some of you have had with the tempaflow. I can only speak from my own experience with the product and mine has been very good. My sled is not piped -- maybe that's part of the difference. Only engine mods I've made are to install reed spacers and the tempaflow. I also do very little lake racing.
