Was bored today so i pull the heavy hitters out of the Viper today and threw in the billet hammertimes in the primary for the first time since i've had them. I put the red spring in with 3 grams middle 3 grams tip and left the shoulder empty ,in the instructions it says the weight acts like a multi angled helix so i put in a straight 43 and a green sec. spring @ 70 to give it a try.

Fired the sled up got it warmed up and give it some throttle to get it out of the shop, sled just reved like hell the primary clutch wouldn't engage. So i picked the back end up and got the track spinning and got the primary moving, set it back down and went out for a rip. All it did was rev and no pull what so ever. Brought it back and threw 4 grams in the shoulder. Tried it again still reved alot but was a bit better.

Thought maybe the 43 i was running wasn't enough helix so i threw my 47 in. It was still about the same, slipping the primary alot. Got looking in at the primary spring and it looks like it's binding up. When i put the weights in the primary the plastic bushings that center the weight fit pretty snug, maybe the weights aren't moving freely enough. I'll take a look tomorrow.

I was thinking of taking the shoulders right off and just using the weight as an adjustable weight. Too risky running with the hammers attached.

If weights are sticking would that cause all rev and no pull??

Keep adding weight to the heel till it grabs the belt & settles down. You can do this while it is on the sled. I doubt if anything is binding & you just need more weight.
