Help!!! MM700 2" track?

Just brought home an 02 MM700.. Thing is mint and just what I require...My question is, is it advisable to trim down the lugs to a 1.5 or 1.25 inch lug rather than a 2".... I required the long track for bush riding and trail breaking but am wondering if the 2" lugs might just cause me grief... I have read how this track doesn't provide the lube and cooling to the sliders and heat exchangers in lower snow conditions....

Can I trim the lugs down and what is the best method of doing this?....

Before you go to the trouble of trimming your track you might want to consider ice scratchers. I have been told to get the ones that attach to the skis instead of the slide rails, they cool much better.

Scratchers are on my list too....Wasn't aware that those mounted on the skis were more efficient....

Has anyone have advice on the track?....
