Stock Viper VS Stock Vector??

Has anyone raced these two sleds against each other? Just wondering. I have not had a chance to line my viper up against one and was wondering how it would come out.
 

I have seen stock Vectors stay with SRXs up to 70 mph, and others get beat all the way by stock Vipers. I do not know why such a variance, but don't think it is based on power. I would guess setup and breakin.
 
My viper is clutched,and has ripsaw track and, out of the hole maybe til about 30 vector has a sled lenth,then pass and i keep pulling away!!!!
 
i own both, and i would have to tell you it would be close. the viper has more snap, but the vector has a longer pull. after 80 the viper just walks away.
 
I agree with redline, dads vector walks me on the takeoff, but if the lake is long enough I will pass. both bone stock, no clutching or anything. a lot seems to be the low end and ripsaw of the vector. he spins about ten feet and then just squats and rips. I sitt spinning. even on a perfect launch on my part, he has soooo much more low end he leaps out in front. I dont have more power till about 65-70. then if cruising at that speed and hit it I will probably pull him. my viper needs and is getting a new track soon though, ripsaw. hope that helps it ;)
 
I have a viper and a rage both seem to run real well and also in the conditions me and a buddy were riding in they were so close it was scarry!seemed the rage overall had a little edge in acceleration because of the long track bujt in long runs were dead nuts!!
 
yeah, I think the tripple 4 stroke was a great replacement for the viper. very close in power, and I dont think the vectro feels any heavier, very well balanced.
 
:4STroke: Sneak a turbo under the seat and then try it again.It is a dog compared to my 97 700sx under 50 bout after 50 look out the speedo seems to never stop.Had a test drive on a 05 Vector (turbo) this weekend what a blast.
 
so your 97 is faster than a stock vector?? is that what you are saying??? just not following the post, not tryign to bash if it is taken that way.
 
No not saying my old sled is faster there is not as much snap! to the trigger under 5g's and then the turbo really kicks in and hauls out.Sorry it is outside the thread about stock vector vs stock viper.Just stoked about getting the chance to drive a vector with a turbo
