Vipertripplexxx???

Running kick azz! Ran some unofficial radar out on boom lake last weekend, did well with 121 best speed @ 2000' - 1/2 mile around there? Most of the guys had artic cats, I had to send some clown on a ZRT900 to the cleaners. Really pissed off a guy on a RX-1 !! Another clown on a F-7 said he was almost out of gas so he could'nt run, yea right, and I'm Santa Clause, have a christmas candle (stick of dynomite). I know It's suppose to be wayyyy to tall of gears but i'm running 23-35 now, and it rocks. Can't argue with the results, beats an rx-1 start to finish. That clutching rocks w/big end gears!!! Thanks, tripx :flag:

Wow!! Thouse Gears Are A Bit High, You Will Lose Some Acceration.
You Should Still Do 120+ On The Gun With 23-38 Gears.

38/24=1.58 ratio, stock gears for a heavy rx-1(145 HP)
35/23=1.52 ratio, my gears in light weight viper,(155HP) i'm 150lbs.

Not To outa line, considering stock gears on an rx-1 or vmax-4, and it rocks! Had 37/23 gears and I can tell ya it's faster now from about 60+ mph and up. Try it you will like it lake raci'ng! no shit! That low helix angle likes alot of gear, and it's got the power to pull it hard at 65mph+ it rips off yer arms! It runs so good I'd take it against any stock sled on the lake no doubt!

Ya, If It's Working For You, Keep With It, But Rember The Rx-1 And The Vmax-4 Have Gear Reduction On The Clutch.....so They Do Not Spin The Clutch As High As You........so They Can Gear Up To Compensate For The Clutch Rpm.

Didn't know that! Where is the gear reduction? some kinda planatary thing? It just runs to good to mess with anymore this year, so I'm ridding it. I'll look at it next year!

The gear reduction on a Vmax-4 and RX-1 is just two gears running on eachother to reduce the clutch rpm. The RX-1 has helical cut gears and brings the engine rpm down from 10,200 at the crankshaft to 8400 at the clutch pto shaft.

the max 4 version is really cool, the 4 cylinder has 2 crankshafts, and they meet on a reduction gear in the middle, it's pretty wild. also allows you to index the crank differently for race application.
