I going to take my front springs off of my Viper and have them either painted or powder coated red toi match the hood - which is better?

powder coat them for sure. powder coat will last way longer than paint. its also better because powder coat will move with the springs and won't crack off, its flexible thats why it stays on things better when they are hit with other abrasives. my .02 thanks!!!

grape, what was the co$t to get em coated? or did you do it yourself? thinking on getting the stuff to do it this summer to try and make a little extra cash during the winter months... and is a great excuse to the wife to be to get the stuff!!!

i had mine and grape's done, cost about 10 bux a spring including sandblasting paint from old ones. ohlins springs are powdercoated already, no blasting required. you can change color from powder coat to powder coat on a substrate, but anything that has paint should be stripped bare for proper adhesion. powdercoating is the best method, you can damn near hit it with a hammer without hurting it. as far as its not gonna last, thousands of miles on and off trail good bad and ugly conditions my springs look like new. ski
