Suspension upgrade for a 95 600 V-Max?

Has anyone put a newer skidframe like from a 96 or 97 V-max into an older frame? I have a 95 600 V-max and am looking to get a little more travel since I have to dump $80 into a new shock anyhow. Frame bolt holes look to be different on the 95's compared to the 96 & newer ones.

I've heard that a ski doo sc-10 will bolt right in a V-Max 4. I'm not sure if they are the same as a 600 though. Anyone else hear of a sc-10 V-Max retrofit. If it is true, I may find one off of ebay to go into my 96' 600 (non proaction).
