I am purchasing the 9830 and will also be studding it with Fast-Trac studs. (99SRX) On their site they recommend a 1.075 stud. I think I could go with the 1.175. What do you guys think?
I have run 1.175 on a .920 track...it should hook really good with that longer sutd but remember it will put more bending force on the studs and could pull thru easier.

just make sure your protectors are all in good condition. Don't run the track too loose either. Spinning the track a lot will not be a good idea with any studs, but especially if the studs you are using are longer than recommended, because when the studs hook on something there will be a lot more leverage put on the track, and it will rip out studs much more easily. You just need to use your head when riding and try not to spin much.
