Weird problem 00 SRX

I was riding a 00 SRX over the weekend. Whenever we would drag race on the lake, the temp light would start flashing. It would flash immediately when you pinned the throttle. It stops flashing right when you let off. It doesn't do it through the trails. Any ideas?

Sounds like a powervalve problem. better check em & see if cable(s) are pulled thru or frayed.

if it's only doing it at WFO, it could be either valves or TPS

TPS is easier to check, but odds are your valves could use a cleaning/aligning anyways, so I'd do them first.

Maybe that would explain why I was having a hard time getting it over 90-95??? Thanks guys. I will check it out.

yea that'll do it, i had the same problem this weekend, ended up being a broken cable, didn't pull through the end of the valve though, so i was happy. Valve was real clean though, cable must've been frayed pretty bad. My temp light never blinked though, just noticed a power loss on top end.
