You could put on Ohlins shock extensions. Maxx Perf. has them.

yes advant-edge has shock extensions and there is a guy on ebay that sells brackets that raise the front of yamaha's for rear long travels, to balance it.

viper or sx shocks are the only way to go if you want alot of lift.

Shock extensions should be enough. 97sx has no problems off trail, and it has the short front travel shocks

Get the extensions if you like your ohlins.

I seen those the other day too, what do you guys think about those brackets??? Do you think they sound like a good idea if you want more clearance or just a gimmick??

you can always crank the preload

I believe that the SX-R spindles are higher, you might be able to switch spindles, I never tried interchanging them tho, don't know if it'll work, anybody else have info?
that might be the easiest way, raise ride height without interfering with alignment angles any.

eric and i were talking about those brackets on ebay for the long travel in the srx. We thought they definately looked like something to consider. Only like 20 bucks too.

If they work good they're a steal at $20.
I don't believe any other parts are needed besides the brackets....correct????
After installing you would just need to make some alignment and camber adjustments maybe.

You should keep your ohlins and get those brackets off of e-bay. For $20 you cannot go wrong in trying them.
