i sent my srx to have the dealer put on a boost bottle, which he coupled with v force reeds and k&n filters. The sled also has AAEN pipes. the dealer had to rejet it 3 times because they said it was too lean (they know because i have pyro temp gauges on it. ) the second time they tried it and it was running 1250 mid range, so now they have 165's for jets in it and they havent tried it yet. What they tried the second time was2 sizes lower than the 165's. Is this right? Should the jets be that big? How much gas will this use now? How many MPG? let me know asap

I hate to say this but we never had any luck with the mods you have done. Put it back to stock. The k& n,s are a nightmare to jet properly on a SRX for trail riding. The AAen pipes flat out do not work.v-force reeds might give ya a bit.

srx help

how many mpg would i get with the 165's, The pipes were dynoed and showed 2hp on top and 7hp gain mid range. (dynoed locally). i found out the filters were UNI's instead of k&n's if that makes any difference. Anyone have any luck with a boost bottle?

It sounds as if they need to raise the needles some. The pilots may also be too small for what you are doing. You might want to listen to Turk 'cause he knows, especially if you don't know anything about carb tuning.

opinions

still waiting for an opinion on mpg with 165's for mains. what does the srx 600 have for stock mains? and the numbers go up by 5 for each size, am i correct? I heard with filters you have to bump up the mains about 5 sizes to compensate.

If i remember right srx600 came with 145,145 147.5or 147.5,147.5,150 mains .165 mains wow!I have a hauck big bore 800 in mine and i run 155,155 157.5 with no problems, and i like it more on the rich side. What are all the mods you have done to your 600?the mains usually go up in 2.5 increments unless you look into yamaha stock jets to fine tune(usually the odd numbers you sometimes need.
