Get the engine running the way you want it, and then check the clutching. A clutch kit is only good for the complete setup and conditions for which it was tested.

jetting
your whole problem is in jeffs jetting probally something stupid like 162 across vent tube plugged in to air box? along with this horrible gas milage that will never get better expect to burnit down cause thats what will happen next gurantee it ! The ONLY WAY to jet a piped viper is with the vent tubes unplugged from the air box hannging down just like on a srx you know that tripple 700 that is legendary in performance.why anybody would try any otherway is beyond me i have rode my viper for 7000 miles piped this way with 0 problems and averaged 10.1 miles per gallon.

yea its tough to get piped vipers lean enough to get good mileage because of that nasty timing in the low 8's. Run them a little lean and pop, mr squeaky.

If you do what Viper Paul says "The ONLY WAY to jet a piped viper is with the vent tubes unplugged from the air box hannging down just like on a srx you know that tripple 700 that is legendary in performance." You need to change your main jets to 150.
what do u need for pilots thenSledBoy said:If you do what Viper Paul says "The ONLY WAY to jet a piped viper is with the vent tubes unplugged from the air box hannging down just like on a srx you know that tripple 700 that is legendary in performance." You need to change your main jets to 150.
