Totally stock Viper, just turned 5000 miles, came up to stop and engine died. When I tore it down the mag side piston was melted badly on exhaust side from top down. The other two pistons look good. The carbs seem to be very clean and everything looks to be normal. Any help would be appreciated. Tnks

Post pics if you can . . .
Something likely caused it to go lean. Did you check the carb boot for that cylinder?

He said all stock so I'm thinking with 5000 miles something caused a leak and ran him lean, just don't know where.

could also be bad gas, or some powder snow sucked in
