I am doing the viper shocks on a 99 SRX now and the only thing that is not clear is if I need to do anything to the adjustable transfer rods from hauck power sports. We had to add 7.5mm spacers to the 00 SRX, but from what I have read, I won't have to do anything on the 99. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I put viper shock on my 98' and needed the 7.5mm spacers. I'm not sure but I believe the 99' is the same as '98.

Did your transfer rods mount in front of the rear wheels, or behind?

on the 98s and 99s they mount behind the rear idlers

bottom line is when you are sitting on the sled, you need 7.5mm to 10mm of gap on either side of the rods.
this is why the extension is needed as the viper shocks makes the sled sit higher thanks stock with rider loading.
I made my extensions 10mm so i could play with some thicker nylon bushings to dial in the transfer gaps.
I am at 10mm gap both sides. and have the fra? setting on the front (skid) shock set to lowest leverage.(closest to pivot) this makes it corner like on rails. Setting the fra to stiffer setting made it tip aweful in ANY corner, any speed. that small adjustment amazed me....
