I am thinking about getting my srx 700 crank stroked and was wondering who does this besides Falican? Who has the best price?

how many cc does it give you?

Well I have a 780 kit and we were thinking of going maybe 4mm so it would make it like a 828.

i know this may sound dumb to some but i gotta learn somehow, what is "stroking" a crank and what does it give you? i have always heard the term but never knew what it meant. can someone explain? much appreciated!!!

You relocate the connecting rod pen on the crankshaft journal by mm's to give the piston more stroke in the cylinder. You have to change the port heights and cut into the head so the piston does not hit. Gives the sled great power!

stroking it can leave with with some pretty seriosly undesirable time/area curves, still tho, it's been done many times, usually entails aftermarket jugs tho.

have a stroker srx. 1018cc done by iantomassi track n trail. it's a full prostock 1000 motor with a brand new crank, pistons (freshly coated sides & tops), rings, freshly coated head domes, jaws pipes, Price cylinders, 44 lectron carbs. Motor makes 240hp @ 9100 rpm. Alot of work. PM me if interested. Looking to sell whole sled.

The crank is actually a Ski-Doo 670 HO crank with an added throw to make it a 3 cylinder. Then the cases were line bored to accept the Ski Doo bearings and alot of grinding and machine to make it all swing freely. There is a place in California that will stroke cranks for around $1000 including disassembly and reassembly. I can't justify it on a trail sled though. You will need to make a spacer to raise the cylinders or do alot of machine work to the head or both. As well as probably changing your porting all together. It wouldn't be too hard to get $6-7000 tied up into a motor like that in a hurry.

srxspec I am putting a Price 1000 in my SRX. It is a new cyclinder design with a 68mm stroke crank. I hope to get some good numbers out of it. Did Jaws fit those pipes or someone else. Looks like a nice fit. Where did you get those handle bars and what ignition are you running. If you don't mind me asking.

Danger Dog, the pipes were fitted by Iantomassi with the help of Jaws as well. The handle bars are pro stock handle bars from Wahl Bros Racing. We are running a 97 SX 700 ignition at this present time.

So the SX stator and flywheel will bolt to the SRX cases?
