What is the advantage of a fully clipped track vs. on that is clipped every several windows..

I would go with fully clipped the sliders slide better on metal than rubber. if not going fully clipped add slp speed clips.

third window is better unless you need to run extroverts. less hifax wear because of 1/3 of the clips running across them. the rubber never touches.

every 3rd clipped tracks suck anytime there is low slow conditions because the rubber creates more drag on the slides than the metal clips would, feels like you're riding with the parking brake on.

I wouldn't even think twice about this. I would go every third all the way in less you run extroverts. fully clipped tracks are 3-4 pounds heavier then everythird depending on the length of the track. This is rotating mass and is not something you want more of. As for drag, The fully clipped glides good but once your break in the everythird they will keep right up with them in glide. All you have to do is put a couple hundred miles on the track and it will glide extremely well. The main advantage to fully clipped are the extroverts. If you do not plan on running extroverts, I would go with the clipped everythird track.

then why am i still havein a problem with mine? bought used ripsaw closed every 3rd with about 500km on it. put on with set of new slides and have put about 800km since and it still hangs up crispin my belt. it has 2" of sag in the middle with sled in air so i dont think its still too tight. cost me 3 belts this season. clue me in if you have a secret to fix this cause otherwise i love this track.

run five runs with my ripsaw track then went home and put slp speed clips on with half an hour went back out and run ten all 2 to 3 mph faster nothing changed

what are the slp speed clips? all metal? or teflon inserts or something? why are they faster.
i need all new clips for my stock track. should i put these clips on, or buy a new ripsaw instead.

Every 3rd clip track works well as long as there is enough snow to lube the track. They do a better job of holding snow in the track for lubing also. If your on very hard pack, then ice scratchers are a good idea. They make a huge difference in hyfax/track temps, also helps cool the engine too.

yea as long as there is good snow, every third is fine. if you encounter marginal more often you probably want all clipped.
