I might have a relative buying a 600HO Fusion. My stock Viper is a very good runner, but if the Poo runs as good as the brag.....we'll see. I do know the Doo 600HO is no slouch. Just curious.

If you don't mind the vibration and eveything it brings (earlier component failure), you might be happier on the poo.
It would be lots cheaper to pipe your current ride, and it would smoke thoes HOs.

pipe it and get mirrors so u can see him
Rode an 06 Fusion 600 H.O. this past week. Struggled to get past 95 mph with long pull under ideal conditions. For those that have put down their money I hope it's a case of a thrashed proto or they will be very disappointed in the engine. A tired 02 Pro-X 600 with 12K that I test rode that day pulled harder and topped out over 100 mph. The rear suspension felt good though.

on the small end the poo should be able to keep it close, but on the big end the viper will walk it in my OPINION, because that's all it is at this point

Well guess what?? We got a quick shot of March snow here and we went out today and blew the dust off the sleds. It was around 37-39 deg. by the afternoon ,so the snow was melting. A bunch of kids came out to our place with my nephew and we did some running in the field. One kid had a mint 2003 F7 EFI with the 128" 1.375 track. My Viper spanked it.( I was not expecting that) He coud pull me slightly off the line, but by 60-70mph ,I walked on him quite nicely. I was seeing around 105mph before shutdown. Now keep in mind it was warm, he had EFI and he weighed about 60 lbs. less than me......I felt pretty good about that. He was real eager to run me, a bit cocky in fact, but he looked a bit shocked afterwards. In fact he left afterwards. LOL!! Oh yeh....there was 2002 XC 800 there. Those things are really sorry as far as performance goes.

I've only lined up with an F5 with the 2 inch paddle and the guy is about a 100 lbs lighter than me, but i smoke him with the viper - my son's zr600 is sorry compared to my sled and i have a 100 on him too.

In a long stretch the Vipers can be impressive, in the 1/4 mile a Viper certainly doesn't shine. My friend of mine has a stock 02' 600xcsp with a ripsaw. We run side by side up to about 80 MPH and then I can pull away...slowly. The Fusion 600 should be as strong if not stronger than the 02' 600.

Demo'd a Fusion 600HO
It doesn't vibrate. This is a carbed motor that does'nt have the long stroke. I think it will take a stock Viper come this fall. I saw and recorded 108 on the 600ho speedo. I was impressed for a 600.
Also, the 03 F7 must have been f----ed up because I can just get by my buddies stock 03 F7 with my piped Viper. Truly 470 lbs. and 140 horse.

a twin will always vibrate and pulse the clutch
on a twin both pistons come to a complete stop at the same time. with a tripple only 1 piston is stoped at a time.
how many twins out there need a new clutch after a few thousand miles, how many tripples are running there clutches long past 5000 miles?

Koodat. I am sure it's the same story with all sleds. Some run better than others. My Viper runs strong. My Dad's is even a bit better than mine. I have heard alot of guys with so/so running Vipers that have problems with alot of 600's. I am sure the same goes with F7's. Some run better than others. This one I was not impressed with. There is another guy in town I know I would not want to run. He just set the speed record in his class with a F7 about a month and a half ago. I know that thing runs real good.
BTW, yesterday was warm as I mentioned. This turned out to be the one time I could really tell the difference by opening my TPI's in the airbox to wide open. It felt sluggish(FAT) when I first ran it.(TPI's closed) Then I opened the TPI's and I could tell it was alot crisper and pulling much harder on top end.
