2001 Venture triple 600. Stock skis, just purchased the sled a couple months ago. Took her out for the first good ride all day on a trail that is used heavy. The sled seemed to really dart around more on this trail. What upgrade can I do? I seen carbides in different lengths. Is the bigger longer carbides better for less darting? What about those skis that are like an inverted horseshoe? Do they have carbides on 2 sides? are they any better?
Thanks

Assuming your alignment is ok, you need to adjust your ski runner pressure. See if your wearbars are wearing heavily in the front, and not in the back. When you have too much pressure in the front, it allows the skis to push the sled around, instead of following where you want it to go.
I've got an article in the Tech Page, read it through and see what you think.
It's pretty typical for 2 ups and longer tracked sleds to have a tendancy to dart, because the rear of the sleds just sit higher than with a 121" sled. Since Yamaha uses the same ski bumpers for them all...you get darting.
