anyone heard/had any bad experieces with the new float shocks? They should be creditable if Yamaha is using them on 06's. Do they make a model that will work on an SRX? Also, if anyone has a suggestion or link where to get a price to buy.
P.S. I'm puting a long travel on the rear of my 00 SRX and i'm looking into going a little taller/ more travel in the front.

Last I knew they did not make ones for the SRX, stock anyways.

that would be a bummer. I wonder if there are any mods to make it work?

I would imagine that if you could make a regular rx-1 shock work, then you could make the float shocks work.

I have ridden a REV with floats on it and they are niiiiiiiiice, truely progressive feel. Save at least 5 pounds off the front of the sled as well. I have not heard of any problems with them and the fact that they are standard issue on some yamaha and arctic cat sleds is a pretty good vote of confidence.
I am not sure if fox makes them for srx's, i also dont know if srx's have the clevis upper mount like my viper does? Good luck.

Not tochange the subject but, I heard that the 06's have some suspension issues that they are working on.

the only issue i have heard with them is problems with them leaking oil overtime (which is pretty common with all Fox Shox, they don't have the best sealing systems). Contrary to popular belief, the Float shocks have oil and a valve stack just like any other shock, the air part of it is ONLY acting as the spring, not the shock absorber. Increasing the air pressure is like cranking up the preload on the springs, its not like changing the valving. Most people think the air is what creates the shock absorption as well.
