ice-trail scratchers

I had problems with hard pack snow and no lube on my SRX. I ordered a set and havent had to use them since installing.

I scared the hard pack into being soft!!!

Seriously, when you put them down (off storage position) they make spray a lot of snow.

However, I cannot attest if they work or not, as I have not had those conditions since installing.

I recently installed a set I got from Mountain Performance on my MM700.
I liked the way they mounted and the stainless steel construction, but I
haven't had the need for them yet. There's alot of old boy sledders in
my area and they swear by them. One neighbor has an 800 SkiDoo and
he drops his scratchers when his temp light comes on and he says the
light will go out within a half mile.
Twice this year I have smelled hot plastic from hyfax on other sleds as
they rode by us on hard, plowed roads.
I'm hoping with hyperfax and scratchers I won't have any problems.

worth the money....

tried the scratchers on my last ride and they do make a difference, snow and ice was being flung into the skid frame and i wasn't experiencing that slow sticktion feeling and wondering if i should be hitting the banks like before...i purchased them from mountain performance.

I purchased a pair from Hartman Inc and installed them on my MM.....These mount on the skis at the spindles......They work great...Good spray of snow backward to the skid...

Don't make the mistake of backing up with them down, however....They only go in one direction of travel (and that isn't backwards)...bin dare dun dat...

Tom @ Hartman is great to deal with too....Deals personally with each customer whenever possible....

TJ...

I could have used a set of those last weekend . It was frozen in the morning and there was no snow dust I had to keep piling snow on my running boards to keep the light off . After about an hour of riding it softened up and I was ok the rest of the day .
