Just back into sledding since the mid eighties. Purchased a 1999 sx 700 from a older guy who had it since new. Has a set of PI triple pipes installed that he has run the last couple of seasons. When i bought it he said hes never fouled a plug and just changes them at the begining of the season for the heck of it.
Well, i only have snow around my house being anxious ive ridden it around the house with the kids a little bit. This last time i rode it it was popping and spitting oil pretty bad. leaving a black splotch where i was running it. I know its hard to say for you guys but i didnt really choke it to much, just enough to get it running.
Will just putting around and not really being able to clear it out make it do this? The previous owner said it was really easy to deal with even with the pipes. The temp today was about 15 f. Last owner said it was jetted to down to 10 below.
any opinions?

yes, sometimes they will eat a few plugs until you really get them out to scream. One thing you may want to check is the oil cable, make sure its seated tight at the splice.
