YES, IT WORKS.
rode the other night, icy trails, 30-80 on off throttle all night, checked milage and found 15mpg. rode again this sunday with my brother a steady 30-40mph(yes that slow, he has never been sledding) and got 14.5mpg.
i think this weekend ill get even better. since i vented out of the box and finished changing the carbs over to srx style(throttle valve was all that was left) now the sled is rich on the bottom. i am going to 37.5 pilots. it is not so rich that it will stall or foul a plug sitting idle but it does now sound dull at idle and off idle.
i didnt think that changing the vents would mess up the idle circuit but it did.
before i had all srx parts in the carbs with viper 1.5valves set at 2turns. i changed the valves to the srx 2.5 and vented outside box and am at 1turn on the fuel screw and still a little rich.
correct me if im wrong but as i understand it the larger the number on the valve the more air is pulled accross the needle jet(nozzle)??
i wish now that i waited to change the valves till after i tried the vents. i may end up back to the viper valves. the things you do when you dont have time to change one thing at a time.
p.s. sled is for sale in any configuration that i have parts for.
