A couple of questions for you experts.
How much rise makes stand up riding do-able?
How tall of a riser can you put on an 04 Viper with out having to get longer cables?
And I like the way the sled looks with the pad on, would I have to leave it off?
How tall of a riser does it take if you have hand gaurds to clear the windshield? (midsize sheild)

I have a 03' Viper. I put on a 2 inch riser and it really streatches the cables, I'd think that is about as tall as you can go without lenhthing the cables. Also I put on the hand guards and have no problem, but I also have on a low windshield.

I know this is a different machine but a 1" on a 02 srx with the bars kicked up a little makes standing really easy, and just a better driving machine. No cable problems at all. I love it!!! IMO

You can run the 2" without a cable extention and with handguards also as I have all season. If you want a deal on any of these parts, PM me and I will give you a package price for any parts you want. I ahve a Sportech 2" pivoting riser in stock, I am looking to try it on my Viper!

I have a 2 inch riser in my viper S ... personally it is not tall enough for standing up. I am adding a 2 inch pivot block with pivot adaptor, which will make it just over 3 inches total.
For more than 2 inches you have to change cables. There is a reroute example on the tech pages, but it is for an sx and the air box is different.
I am using power madd cable extensions and mnt viper oil cable when I extend mine.
I also have hand guards on with the mid-height windsheild. The guards touch the windshield when turned to the max, not a big deal.
IMO ... if you do a lot of standing up I would put the 4 inch pivot block with the pivot adaptor ... that is what I have to put in for the next time we go out west. Makes it reallly nice and easy to stand up! However, if your a trail rider your hands can get really cold with your bars that high!

I used the same pad while I waited for my new pad.
If you use the same pad the only thing different is your riser will show, but not too much with only a 2 inch block.

I have a 2" riser, made a world of difference in the comfort of the sled. Watch your oil cable though, mine pulled out of the sleeve on me.

I have a 2" and it is tight. turn your handlebars and watch for the electrical cable to make sure it doesnt rub on the very bottom of the block when you turn. I found i had to make two small holes in the plastic and wire tie the cable to it to stop it from rubbing. it was barely touching but over time will wear through. i am going to 4" pivot for next year so i can stand real comfortable.
