Had rough winter in the Viper and I need to re-rivet some parts. :WayCool:

Will a normal 1/4" rivet gun work or do I need something special? I need to re-do the rear end where the mudflap connects as its just loose right now, adding a rear heat exchanger, and then the RH side plastic shroud on the side of the sled. Thanks :rocks:

A normal one will work just fine. But I would look for an air operated one, it'll be much easier

Kinger, You can use a regular pop rivet gun, but for a little more money aan air riveter is worth the expense. check out Harbor Freight aor Northern Hydraulics. I picked mine up at HArbor for about 70 bucks. Came in REAL handy when I longtracked my Viper.

Thanks, I'll check into that air one, I'm looking at over 50 some rivets its either $70 or carpal tunnel in my wrist! ha ha

When I ws all done I counted over 550 rivets. I installesd full length coolers, rear exchanger and Rox Treads. I would NEVER have finiished that job without the air riveter. Purchase one and you won't regret it.

The 1/4" guns are expensive and generally do not have tips for 1/8" or 3/16" rivets. Most rivets on a Yamaha sled are 3/16". You may want to go with the smaller size gun but be sure to get a heavy duty one as the cheaper ones are usually just that.

Also ..SNAKEBIT.. is somewhere in IA as well. He has a name, I just can't remember it at the moment.

Heya Marty, I have trouble with my kids names too.

Now the wife, for some reason it is extremely important to get her name right while she can just call me dummy, or hey you.
