removing clutch to replace ring gear

I have a 1998 Venture 600 touring and I need to replace the ring gear, I know I need a clutch puller, But I need to know the steps to take to perform this task.

buy a real good torx bit and use a propane torch to heat the head of each bolt very hot before even trying to break them free. while doing it run the torch over the sheave a little too so it doesnt warp. warm the whole sheave a little and the head of the bolt alot, then just loosen them up. if not you will ruin your tool and the bolt.
