Do the hoods and panels from a vmax 600 interchange with vmax 800. I am in the process of restoring a '96 vmax4. I was thinking that the width of these machines vary. Having trouble finding what year and model of vmax's will interchange. Conflicting info being pasted around. I need: hood, nose cone, gauge pod (not gauges), windshield, stock pipes. Everything else is done! 
Sorry they will not fit, the nosecone, gauge pod and windshield should interchange.

hoods are quite different, the giant vents for the radiator are only on the 800. and the side panels I would say might fit, but cant say for sure. I think there are a few more vents on the front near the shock towers. had a 96 xt and 800 at the same time

Vmax4rules, yes I checked vmax4.com, but not much help. Seemed to be all performance parts and setups. I want to bring it back to the original. O3Viperguy, thanks for the tips. You guys saved me alot of research time. Any suggestions on who might have the parts posted above? I checked sled salvage yards, parts warehouses, ebay, and the 2 forums that were most likely to have them. I have old hood and side panels, I could use but I prefer ones in better condition, before body shop begins. I still need windshield, nose cone and gauge pod.
Did you post a WTB ad - alot of guys on there will sell parts if they know what you are looking for.

I have a nosecone witha scratch, I will see if dad wants to sell it (actually his) It is from a 96, and he has since sold the sled. if he wants to sell I will post a pic

03 Viperguy, I am interested in the nose cone if he wants to sell. The entire sled will be repainted, so the scratch should not effect the outcome. Thanks
