02 MM700....Completely stock but want to install TempaFlow... Live near Wpg at 750 ft ASL and want to jet up for -29C or -20F.....

What mains do I need and where should my screws be set at?.... I checked my pilots and all are 45's...

(sled seems to load up and foul plugs when idling...must drive a short distance to clear pugs and cylinders)... Why???

If I need 143.8's in any of the cylinders, which I'm not even sure of, where do I get them.... Kimpex doesn't even list them....

When listing jets, is the first referral meant for the PTO or the MAG side....I need to get this straight too...

lots of questions... sorry..

Thanks..

Cylinder #1 is the PTO cylinder, #3 is the mag. I can't really help you with
jetting for your location, but when I jetting mine I contacted the local Yamaha dealer and he told me what to use. Since they've sold so many
Mountain Max's they know the local setup. If you have a dealer near you,
you might try that.
Today I'm going to order a Holtzman ATACC for mine.
Hope your liking your new sled.

If you are running tempaflow go to 143.8 straight across & drop the needles 1/2. Keep the tempaflow manual control in the stock (12:00) position.

I think Turk is right on, not only because he's THE MAN with Yamahas, but also because of my experience with the initial install of Tempaflow on my 99 700 MM.

I installed stock jetting (145, 143.8, 143.8 ) 300 ft elevation. Tempaflow set 1/8 turn rich. Mag plug was chocolat brown, the rest were cardboard brown. Running 90 octane fuel with Klotz Octane boost, BUT my fuel is oxygenated (ethanol). Based on what I saw I've decided to go with 145s straight across because I usually have to go with the oxygenated fuels. Based on that, 143.8 for your altitude and non-oxygenated fuel sounds right.

Thanks fellows....It all sounds reasonable to me and I often wondered why PTO side was supposed to be richer anyway..... If driving near minus 29C or minus 20F, will 143.8's still be safe?.... I drive in northern Manitoba and very often the temps are near minus 30C....

thanks..
