What ski's for viper?

Looking to swap out my ski's for something that eliminates darting, is all blue and comes with carbides as a complete package.

So far I like the simmons flexi and USI ones that add some top end speed. Both are around $400 a pair. Anyone have other reccomendations or the best price on either of these? Thanks!
 

I was going to say C&A's, they are my personal favorite ski because of how aggressive they are, but if you are looking for a ski they doesn't dart they are probably not for you. How about just keeping your stock skis and getting dooly's for them? Only problem with dooly's is that they push through the corners a bit more than single runner skis and they scrub off some top end. That being said, i would probably go for either the SLP Straight Line Tracking ski from startinglineproducts.com or the simmons flex ski. Both are very good quality, the simmons are real popular with a lot of guys on here. Talk to SRXSRULE and see what he thinks of his. The SLP SLT's are great skis as well, eliminating darting while still biting hard.
 
The C&A pro razors are supposed to eliminate darting with the "V" shaped keel on the C&A and I think they are really nicely priced right now through a guy on doo talk
 
I have never used the ones with the V-shaped keel but i know the pro race skis that i have dart quite a bit when you have a decent amount of ski pressure on them because they are so aggressive, and the keel sticks down so far from the rest of flat bottom ski, so they hunt out all of the imperfections in the trail. They definately aren't the worst, but they do dart a little.
 
I have a pair of Blue USI Project SX Skis with 301 HP silver mounts, super flex rubber handle, and shaper bars, used only once for sale. Let me know if your interested.

I never heard anyone complain about C&As darting. I think its just because of the way you have you suspenation setup. I have the C&A trail skis, I believe they are now calling them "AD". They handle great very little if any darting.
Kinger I'd look into the C&As AD skis :WayCool:
 
as i said i have a ton of ski pressure on them to get them to rail around the corners. Also, these are on SXR's, not the SRX. I haven't tried them on the SRX yet, but darting is much less of a problem on srx's than sxr's and they ran the same ski. Talk to scott bergstrom about this, he has acknowledged the same effect.
 
Simmons work great on the trail, pretty good off trail too. Although the 05 mountain ski is a little better in deep snow. If your a trail rider, cant go wrong with Simmons.
I've seen Simmon's for $350 a pair w/ 2 cutter's and 2 flat carbides.
 
Thanks guys, ordered the C&A pro Razors for $240 shipped from the doo rep that was clearencing them out for spring. I still carbides for $70 so total will be $310, that is too good a deal! I can't wait to try them next winter, the darting was so tiresome to drive on 200 mile days. Thanks!
 
you will be happier all around with the C&A, do the shim trick and you will love them. I have an 04 viper with simmons and another viper with C&A i like the c&A in most conditions better.
 
Anyone have a good picture of the shim trick? Nodoo s do you have a shim in your set of C&A's you could send me or post? Thanks

Good thought but no, the cause is the front of the ski is angled slightly down versus the rear (when looking at it from the side) and when he adds more pressure it forces the ski to follow ruts and will dart worse, however in a corner it will bite harder and turn better. Best solution is good skis and a shim to make the ski pressure 60/40% bias toward the front. Then it won't dart and still turn nice for most riders.
 
They are already front bias, the shim is to eliminate that front bias and center the weight or make it slightly rear bias so the skis have much less tendency to hunt and dart.
