Tonight I was riding with the high beam on and took a small jump( The front of the sled lifted about a foot and the bottom stayed on the ground) when the sled came back down the headlight went out. Next i pressed the hi beam button and switched to low beam and the low beam works fine. But all my attemps to get the high beam to work again have failed. ( pressing the button ALOT, jiggling random wires.) Next I left the sled outside for about 1/2 hr then came back figured i'd give it another shot. I start up the sled and the highbeam works, but as soon as the sled is past idle the light completely goes out and I had to switch to low beam. I found that if i shut the sled of and turn it back on it'll work till I go past idle. But that doesn't solve anything. Any opinions? anyone have this problem before? Any one know which wire and can describe exactly where it is that controls the high beam. I wouldnt be so good at finding it unless told exactly which ones because I have pyro gauges and wires are everywhere. Let me know I'd really appeciate it.

TTT
TTT somebody must know what color the wire is and where its located at least.

do you have one or two headlilghts? if you only have one, it may just be your blub, making and breaking contact at the filiment.
I would check the harness under the motor...I bet it is starting to wear thru. Similar things have happend to me.

bulb
I took the bulb out, shook it, no rattle, look inside of it and nothing looked out of the ordinary, nothing was detached. The bulb's light that shows in front has a yellow tinge, at think thats normal for low beam though. So its down to relay or wiring harness. How would i check the harness?

unplug it on the headlight side and pull it back on the Carb side about 12" and you should see if it has been rubbing.
