How do you buy demo sleds from Manufacturers?

I wanted to put this in the post about warrior pricing but wanted to get as much info as possible.How do you go about buying a sled from say Yamaha Canada that was a reps demo?I would'nt mind finding some of these deals myself.
 

I have seen a few dealer demos around for sale ... from what I have seen the dealers will put them up for sale as used with regular pricing.

As for the corporate demos ... I have heard they cut the tunnel up and no one is allowed to buy them.
 
As far as getting factory corporate demos, you can get them if you are a dealer. Woody's performance in maine bought one of the 05 rx1's last year and was grass dragging it last year. Underneath the hood it had SM1 painted on it. He said the suspension needed all new bushings and some other stuff done to it because of the demo rides.
 
Production demo sleds are available to dealers at the end of the season usually, if they don't get scooped up by a Yamaha employee first. Prototype demos (the apex, attak, etc that are out now) are crushed.
 
Try the competition. They buy the competitors sleds, drive the crap out of em & offer em to the dealers for a hugely reduced price. So, if you live in northern Mn go to poo & cat to buy a yammie test sled...they have em!
