Guys...need help with my 00 600 SX-r.
I need to beat my buds F-7 & want to know what mods I must do to beat him & any pics would be a help!
I need to know a good 1.25 lug track that won,t hurt my top speed & send any pics if you have em!
I also heard a silencer will give me 8-10 hp & want to know which one works best! Also send pics if you have em.
I want to know who makes the best clutch kit that won,t hurt my top speed? I would like to know every clutch kit available & how much difference they all make in 600'-1000' & top speed. Also pics if you have em.
How many sled lengths difference in 1000' betweem heavy hitters & heelclickers? Anyone got pics?
Will a clutch kit from a 94 vmax 4 800 work? I can get a good deal on that & he has pics!
I can get race gas for a good deal. Will that help me win? I got pics of where I can buy the gas if that will help.
I can buy a Yamaha racing helix on e-bay for $100! What is a helix? They also have pics. Will this help me beat my buds F-7?
So; if I do all this; how much more top speed will I get? I should be able to beat my buds F-7 after all these mods? How bad do you think I will beat him? Anyone have pics of a 00 600SX-R(the blue one) beating a F-7?

This is a slightly deviated version of actual e-mails I have personally recieved but put em together to amuse the troops!

Happy belated April Fools!!!!!!

Hey Turk,
There is a guy on this site who is the clutching GURU; you should ask his advice. I think his screen name is Turk. 1) Tape up your air ducts/vents so that it's more aerodynamic. 2) Have a buddy wrap the sled in shrink wrap once your in position. 3) Bring a tow strap so you can tow the F-7 back to the starting line.

Turk, am I sensing just a little frustration from questioning overload from the winter....hmm? Take a Vacation/Pill.

The obvious answer to ALL the questions above is yes, it will all work. Just ask the guy who sold those parts to the people that bought them. These parts will do all of the above, but "no" we won't take them back if they don't perform the way we said you must have installed them wrong, or "it works on everyone elses", "I've got 100's of those out there and no one has that problem".

If you can't decide between the heavy hitters or the heel clickers that is easily solved, get a 4 post clutch and use 2 of each, then take your clutch cover and drill a hole in the top, put your secondary spring in the front, twist the cover 120 degrees while installing it. By doing this little known mod, the primary will do the upshifting as well as the backshifting, therefore, you don't need a secondary spring, and if your center to center is perfect and you set your offset .037 to the out side and set your clutches 2.5 degrees out of paralell, you won't need a helix either.

Although I have taped my hood shut, (we did that on the asphalt and it does help) I never thought of shrink wrapping the driver to the sled, just gotta try it.

SXR vs. F-7

For April fools you should have come up with a better lead in. That question is easily answered. Take an SXR and do 3 or 4 simple mods.

what do you have done to that engine? anything special? Is that just an sxr bellypan and hood on a viper chassis, or a viper engine, seat, rear bumper, and bumper cover on an sxr chassis?

Realistically most of that stuff is all interchangeable any way, this was an 01 sxr that hit an ice heave and folded up, all that was used was the hood misc brackets and the suspension and one trailing arm. It's really an srx bulk head, phazer tunnel, with the Viper seat and tank cover, there is actually a 2 gal aluminum tank inside the stock tank, Bender Viper race pipes, 800cc SRX motor, 38 tmx's. I was going to put 44 lectrons on it but I have to change the steering post, I'm waiting for CB Perf to finish the aluminum ones they are making before I switch the carbs.

yea i knew all the stuff was interchangeable thats why i wondered what you had going on there. Nice looking sled, i'm sure it rips!

yeah that is pretty neat! is the suspension lowered? looks it.....Imagine it would be if raced :)
